The Visions to Peace Project is a youth leadership development and movement-building project based in Washington, D.C.
Our mission is to support youth, communities and organizations in working toward safety and peace through creative community action, rather than dependence on policing, prisons, and punitive policies.
The Visions to Peace Project uses arts, media, education, and organizing to foster and strengthen youth-led action for peace.
youth in developing as visionary leaders
communities in understanding and addressing violence against youth
organizations in creating transformative approaches to peace that center the experiences, voices, and visions of youth
We are committed to building a broad vision and movement for safety, justice and freedom – the building blocks of peace.

Our vision is youth and communities that are safe, liberated, and whole; and movements for personal and social transformation that challenge all forms of violence.
Without new visions, we don’t know what to build,
only what to knock down.
We not only end up confused, rudderless, and cynical,
but we forget that making a revolution
is not a series of clever maneuvers and tactics,
but a process that can and must transform us.”
